Post subject: Printing from W2K via Appletalk
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win2000>macintosh (more info?)

Hi,

we have a Canon S9000 printer, connected via USB to an iMac with OS9.
The printer can be used from other Macs via Appletalk.
I wanted to use it also from my W2K machine.

So I installed Appletalk protocol. Then I tried to install a local
printer on an Appletalk Port. Windows had find all Appletalk printer
in our LAN. Then came the dialog to choose a printer driver.
I install the driver downloaded fom Canon.

Everything seems OK, but all printing jobs cancelled after a few
seconds. The Canon Status Monitor says there are no connection to
the printer.

What can I do?

Sorry for my bad english an kind regards,
Jens Peter Möller
