File server on windows server 2000

Post subject: File server on windows server 2000

Hi I have a windows server 2000 with is not in domain, is in work group.

I want to ftp to it with macintosh ( latest OS version 10.4 )

It is working OK when I ftp to server from Windows XP or even Visty.

I have installed File Server for Macintos on server 2000 and it will still
won work.

Username and password for ftp user is set

Problem is that when he try to connect he is asked for username and password
When he enters usensme and password the message says username/password
incorrent

Can toy please help??

File Services for Macintosh is not the same as the FTP server. What are
you using for your FTP client? Do you have the firewall enabled on your
Mac? Fetch and Transmit are two good GUI FTP clients for Mac.
